Looking your best for your wedding day is yet another step to ensuring an unforgettable dream day. So we recently chatted with our fabulous new exhibitor, Kalev Personal Training! As one of the reputable trainers in Vancouver, he shared some of his secrets for our readers! Enjoy our interview with Kalev!
What sets you apart from all the other trainers in Vancouver?
-Care about our clients (we run with them, do boot camp with them, push them to excel- we care where they are going and do our best to help them get there)
-Experience (we have worked with athletes, helped clients lose over 90 lbs, trained national tie kwon do champions and have experience with weight loss, toning, weight gain, flexibility, and diet), we’ve trained pretty much every type of client!
-Close knit and family type environment where every trainer knows every client and every client knows every other client.
In your opinion, what are a few steps to leading a healthy lifestyle?
Balance- everyone must have balance (work/ life, exercise/play, intensity/rest) life has to be fun but directed
Consistency – if you don’t make it consistent it isn’t going to happen. (think about brushing your teeth, if you don’t do it all the time, they’re going to fall apart, sooo if you don’t work out, your going to lose your fitness)
Goals – you have to have an end point to have a beginning, setting goals ensures you move in the correct direction, and as long as you are enjoying what you are doing on a daily basis, your results will directly reflect your input.
Enjoyment - it is essential that you do things that you enjoy, or work towards enjoying what you do to get to your goals.
Exercise and Nutrition - it’s how we move our bodies, and the fuel we put in it. If you treat it well, use it, and give it proper nourishment, you will have it for a long lifetime. Don’t cut your lifespan short by skipping either of these.

2: Intensity and effort
3: Is there mood and enjoyment, do they need an extra push to get them out of a rut or bad mood, or did they just complete a goal and need a high five and a break? We ensure that they are enjoying their session because it is essential to keep them coming back.
Love these tips- Now we are going to attempt to stick with them! Good Luck to you also!
